"A good man turns bad, bad man turns good. You changed my life you know"
—Gholem to John Diggle

Gholem Qadir was a businessman and Afghan drug lord. He provided intelligence to the US government which he claimed to have saved many lives.

Biography

While in Afghanistan, he posed as a villager while John Diggle, Lyla Michaels, and Ted Gaynor transported other villagers to safety. His cover was soon blown, though they decided to keep him alive to bring to U.S. intelligence. After a brief assault, Diggle rescued Qadir's life. He was later transported by truck to authorities.

He was eventually cut loose by the government after he'd provided helpful intelligence to the US government, much of which he claimed to have saved lives. Sometime following this, he wished to purchase Malcolm Merlyn's prototype earthquake machine.

A little while later, Diggle, Lyla and the Suicide Squad were sent to Markovia to grab a nerve agent that was located beneath Qadir's estate. Diggle bumped in to Qadir, where they quickly conversed before Deadshot provided a fake assassination attempt. Qadir thanked Diggle again and invited him to a party he was holding. That night, Diggle and Lyla arrived at the party, bypassing the finger scanner at the door by walking through with Qadir. Later in the night, when Amanda Waller ordered a drone attack on Qadir's estate in order to destroy the nerve agent, Diggle, in order to evacuate everybody, revealed the truth to everyone about him. Qadir suddenly recognized Lyla from Afghanistan and threatened to kill her. Bronze Tiger promptly stabbed him through the back, killing him.[1]
