In 1989, at some point before the end of August, Ghostbusters II was released to cinemas.
At some point after this, Nate Heywood became aware of the film and its release date. In attempt to convince Freddy Meyers from skipping his prom, Nate suggested Freddy went to the cinema, and claimed that 1989 was a great movie summer as a result of Ghostbusters II and Last Crusade.[1]
