Gilbert is an interactive artificial consciousness (A.I.) programmed to operate the Acheron's critical systems and to aid Eve Baxter on her journeys.
History
Time Pirates on the Acheron
Gideon was the A.I. system for a timeship. At some point in time, the Acheron, along with Gilbert, was given to Eve Baxter by her fellow Time Masters. Later, the ship would be taken over by Jon Valor and his group of Time Pirates. However, Rip Hunter, a former Time Master and old friend of Eve's would liberate the ship with the help of his newly assembled team.[1]
