Gordon Godfrey is the host of the GODFREY! talk show on Metropolis.

Biography[]

On his show, Gordon interviews Lex Luthor about his wrongful imprisonment, in which he blames Lois Lane. Soon after, Lois and her husband Clark (who was previously revealed to be Superman) show up at his building, and Lois decides to tell her side of the story on the show, while Gordon mediates between the two. When Lois tries to call Elizabeth Luthor to talk about her father, Amanda McCoy has Milton Fine hack the Steel Armor in an attempt to interrupt the program, but Clark stops it before it can reach the building. Gordon concludes his broadcast by biasedly questioning Lois' journalistic integrity and Superman's interruption of the show.[1]

Trivia[]

  • Godfrey appears to be this world's version of talk show host Greg Gutfeld, as GODFREY! is nearly identical to the GUTFELD! logo.
    • Another unrelated, but interesting coincidence is that Tom Cavanagh has also been a talk show host, on Hey Yahoo!

Behind the scenes[]

  • In the comics, G. Gordon Godfrey is an alias of Glorious Godfrey, a member of Darkseid's Elite. He took the name during the "Legends" arc and positioned himself as a pundit to publicly defame heroes.
    • This is the second live-action incarnation of Godfrey.
