Grace Island is a tropical Caribbean island locale and a popular vacation spot in the Bahamas at the Gulf of Mexico, particularly favored by pirate crews. It was the site of an anachronism in 1717.
History[]
18th century[]
During an expedition to/while burying treasure at Grace Island in the Bahamas, Blackbeard and his crew came across the Earth Totem, which he presented and gave to his true love, Anne Queen. It was a necklace with a massive green emerald on it; he places it around her neck, and the gem starts to glow, then plant tendrils shoot out of the ground and surround her.[1]
21st century[]
At some point, the Bahamas became an independent country, including Grace Island in its territory. Sometime after this, the islands were labeled on a map of the United States (Earth-1) used by Chas Chandler.[2]

Trivia[]
- As Blackbeard and Anne are walking ashore onto Grace Island in the Bahamas, she softly sings, "15 men on a dead man's chest, yo ho ho and a bottle of rum". That song comes from the novel Treasure Island, which wouldn't be published for another 166 years in 1883.
- The Jolly Roger flag 🏴☠️ that the Queen Anne's Revenge flies is not actually associated with Blackbeard.
Behind the scenes[]
- In the real world, the Bahamas is an island country within the Lucayan Archipelago of the Atlantic Ocean.
- The overhead shot of the island itself is actually Cocos Island in Costa Rica, while the scene where the pirates land ashore was filmed in Minaty Bay, a beach north of Vancouver that was also used in "Beebo the God of War".
