Trivia[]
- Gustin's favorite villains are Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Weather Wizard (Liam McIntyre), and The Trickster (Mark Hamill).[1]
- One of Gustin's favorite crossovers was the Supergirl crossover "Worlds Finest", and he really enjoyed working in crossovers with Brandon Routh.[1]
- Grant attended Elon University alongside Chris Wood, where they were both musical theater majors.[2]
- Before Keiynan Lonsdale was cast, Grant was the youngest member of the main cast of The Flash. He became the youngest again after Lonsdale was demoted to a special guest in 2017. But in 2021, Brandon McKnight joined the main cast and became the youngest.
- Grant and Nolan Funk previously worked together of FOX's Glee, in the show they were part of the same fictional singing chorus Acappella: The Warblers. The group was a bitter rival with The New Directions, another choir, that included characters played by Melissa Benoist, Darren Criss, and Blake Jenner.
- The participation of Grant and Melissa Benoist in Glee was the major inspiration for the creation of the musical episode "Duet"; The episode also has as a guest star Darren Criss, whose character in Glee was rival to the Grant character for most of the series.
- Grant is the most recurring male actor as he appeared in 15 episodes of Arrow, 4 episodes of Supergirl, 4 episodes of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, and 1 episode of Batwoman.
- Prior to playing the role of Barry Allen, Grant Gustin auditioned for the role of Roy Harper on Arrow. The role would later on be given to Colton Haynes.
- Gustin appeared as Barry via archive footage in the Titans episode "Dude, Where's My Gar", though he did not know about this until after the episode had aired.[3]
