"The Hat" is an alien vigilante from England, whose hat has Fifth Dimension properties. He joined up with the Elite to help Manchester Black deal with the anti-alien bigotry of the Children of Liberty and the ineffectiveness of the American government and the D.E.O..

Biography

An extraterrestrial of unknown origins, the man who would become known as "the Hat" has arrived to Earth at some point before Manchester Black met Fiona Byrne, settling in England. The Hat was like a brother to Fiona, and the two shared the hardships of living on a world alien to them. The Hat and Fiona befriended Manchester Black, who protected them when their alien origins were questioned by the gang members, with Fi later starting a relationship with Manchester.

After Fiona's death, Manchester set onto a path of revenge and recruited the Hat for his crusade. Now not merely an alien, but a gadget-user, armed with a special Hat from the Fifth Dimension, gifted to him by Mr. Mxyzptlk. The Hat broke Manchester out of prison and became one of the core members of the Elite, a vigilante team that would handle the villains such as the Children of Liberty with extreme prejudice, something Supergirl's team wouldn't do.

Powers and abilities

Powers

• Unknown alien physiology
• Fifth Dimensional energy manipulation: The Hat is proficient with the use of his Hat from the Fifth Dimension, allowing him to do various tricks with it.
• Teleportation: Whether through the Fifth Dimensional Hat or not, the Hat is able to teleport to any location he has seen with his eyes, and is also able to teleport others together with himself.

Abilities

• Sleight of hand: Aside from Fifth Dimensional powers, the Hat is also an able trickster on his own, managing to steal a Legion ring from Querl Dox.
• Multilingualism: While it is unclear how many languages he knows aside english, he do able to understand Mo.

Equipment

• Fifth Dimensional hat: Gifted to him by Mr. Mxyzptlk, the hat allows to store infinite items and channel Fifth Dimensional energies.
