"Hat" is an alien vigilante from England, whose hat has Fifth Dimensional properties. He joined up with the Elite to help Manchester Black deal with the anti-alien bigotry of the Children of Liberty and the ineffectiveness of the American government and the D.E.O..[1]

Biography

An extraterrestrial of unknown origins, the man who would become known as "Hat" has arrived to Earth at some point before Manchester Black met Fiona Byrne, settling in England. Hat was like a brother to Fiona, and the two shared the hardships of living on a world alien to them. Hat and Fiona befriended Manchester Black, who protected them when their alien origins were questioned by the gang members, with Fiona later starting a relationship with Manchester.[2]

After Fiona's death, Manchester set onto a path of revenge and recruited Hat for his crusade. Now not merely an alien, but a gadget-user, armed with a special Hat from the Fifth Dimension, gifted to him by Mr. Mxyzptlk.
