The heat gun is a handheld flamethrower-like weapon, primarily used by Mick Rory.
History[]
Mick carries the heat gun wherever he goes, including when he is not in battle.
Mick had the heat gun with him as he signed autographs at a book signing in Star City; when a giant replica of Beebo menaced the city, the gun was conveniently available for Mick's retaliation.[1]
When Lita wanted to know what super power her father had, as all the other Legends had powers or extraordinary origins, Mick showed her the heat gun, to Lita's disappoint because she detested guns as only being dangerous. Later though, Mick used his weapon against Marchosias, impressing Lita, but the hellhound, born of fire, was immune to the blast.[2]
The Heat gun was used by Mick in battle against Zombies during the England Zombie Apocalypse[3] and the Encores during their final clash with the Legends during Loomworld.[4]
Mick pulls out the heat gun when he sees Astra Logue threatened at gunpoint during a poker game in London, 1977. Later, Mick uses the heat gun to open the fence on Esperanza Cruz's property.[5]
Drunk, Mick walked around the Waverider carrying the gun.[6]
Mick used the Heat gun to chase Kayla away from Ava Sharpe.[7]
Mick used the weapon again to help Zari Tomaz and Behrad Tarazi restrain the giant Gus-Gus.[8]
Mick used the heat gun to defend himself against the Zagurons.[9]
To save his children, Mick used the gun again to attack the Necrians.[10]
