==Synopsis==
[[Oliver Queen|Oliver]] heads to the courthouse to get his death certificate repealed and is pleasantly surprised to run into [[Laurel Lance|Laurel]], who is there prosecuting [[Martin Somers]], a criminal with close ties to the [[Chinese Triad]]. Oliver recognizes Martin's name from [[Robert Queen|his father]]'s list and sets his sights on taking him down. Martin orders the Chinese Triad to "take care" of Laurel so they send their top mercenary [[China White]] after her, an act that culminates in a battle between The Hood and China White. Meanwhile, [[Moira Queen|Moira]] and [[Walter Steele|Walter]] ask Oliver to take over the company.                            

==Plot==
Laurel brings a civil suit against millionaire Martin Somers, who is also one of Oliver's targets, for taking part in drug trades with the Chinese Triad that ultimately led to the death of a [[Emily Nocenti|young woman]]'s [[Victor Nocenti|father]]. As The Hood, Oliver threatens Martin to make him confess to the murder as penance for all of the wrongs he has done to the city. Instead, Somers contacts the Chinese Triad, who send their assassin, China White, to kill Laurel. Oliver saves Laurel from China, he also captures and gives an audio recording of Martin's confession to Sergeant Lance. Meanwhile, Oliver’s mother and Walter push Oliver to take a position at the company. Oliver intentionally embarrasses the family at the opening of the company's new applied sciences division to get out of it, knowing that he can't honor his father’s request to fight for the city and be the man his mother wants him to be at the same time. A flashback to Oliver's time on the island shows him being attacked by an [[Yao Fei|unknown hooded figure]] wielding a bow and arrow.
