The House of El, also known as the El family, is a family of Kryptonians, who are former residents of Krypton.

- The House of El emblem stands for "El mayarah", which means "stronger together".[1]
- The family crest is the letter "S" with a pentagon shield, which Kara and Clark always wear in their suits while fighting crime as their heroic alter-egos. The "S" in Kryptonese stands for hope.
- Lois Lane is the only known Earth-38 human to be part of the House of El due to her marriage to Clark as well as being the mother to their child, Jon.
- Though Mon-El's name ends in "El", he is not a member of the House of El.
