Detective Iris West-Allen is a police detective at the Central City Police Department on Earth Two, the wife of Barry Allen and the daughter of the late Joseph West.
Biography
Early career
Iris had an internship at Central City Picture News. When Barry went to get his PhD, Iris quit her internship and became a cop to help pay for Barry's tuition. This angered Joseph and he blamed Barry for being selfish and putting Iris' life in danger. However Iris' actually enjoyed being a cop more than a C.C.P.N. intern. [1]
At some point, Iris and Barry got married and moved in together.[1]
Arrival of Earth One Barry
When Barry from Earth One arrived, her husband was kidnapped and Barry from Earth One took his place, unknown to Iris. When she kissed Earth One Barry, her meta-human alert app went off, but thought it was on the fritz.[1]
The two returned to Iris and Earth Two Barry's home, Iris noticed Barry was acting strange. Iris then told Barry that his mother called.[1]
Later, the two went to Jitterbugs where they were attacked by Killer Frost and Deathstorm. Her father was killed in the crossfire and Iris attended to his body. Joseph was taken to the hospital. Iris said her final goodbye as her father died.[1]
Avenging her father, Iris, Floyd Lawton and Cisco Ramon approached Killer Frost and Deathstorm. When the Flash arrived, Iris tried to neutralize Killer Frost but Deathstorm got her out of the way. The Flash got Iris to safety before she could be harmed. Iris Allen and Barry (Earth Two) planned to go to Atlantis to escape from Zoom.[1]
Abilities
- High-level intellect/Expert detective: As a police detective, Iris is able to locate her targets, such as the base of Reverb and Zoom's lair with relative ease.
- Skilled markswoman: Iris is quite skilled with firearms, a stark contrast to her unlucky partner Floyd Lawton.
