Japan was an island nation in East Asia. Located in the Pacific Ocean, it lied to the east of the East Sea (Sea of Japan), China, North Korea, South Korea and Russia, stretching from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea and Taiwan in the south. It was also the country that the Yamashiro family was from. The inhabitants of Japan spoke the Japanese language.

History

When Nate Heywood and Ray Palmer were practicing fighting in the Waverider's cargo bay, Nate was suddenly thrown through and out the door and into the Temporal zone and landed in Feudal Japan alongside Ray, who also fell in to try and save him.

In 2016, Nyssa al Ghul heads to Japan to a temple. She meets and greets Tatsu Yamashiro. Nyssa and Tatsu then fight due to the fact that Nyssa was there for something that Tatsu was guarding; the Lotus.
