- "Now according to my dad, Jervis Tetch was a tiny, insecure, and annoying neuroscientist. He felt like the world wasn't listening to him so he developed mind-control technology to force them to listen. He built it directly into his hat."

Biography[]
Tetch was an insecure neuroscientist who felt that the world wasn't listening to him. As a result, he created mind-control technology imbued in his top hat that would force them to listen, this would cause him to come into conflict with Batman.
After one of their altercations, Batman took Tetch's top hat and had its technology disabled before placing it with his trophies from other defeated villains.
At some point, Tetch was believed to have died in Arkham Asylum.[1]
Legacy[]
