Joseph "Joe" Boardman (c. 1889[1]–1925)[2] was a reincarnation of the Egyptian prince Khufu before the latest incarnation Scythian Torvil. He was the husband of the late Edith Boardman and the father of the late Aldus Boardman.
Biography[]
Joe was born with an unknown name in around 1889 in Lima, Ohio. In around 1915, Joe had a son, Aldus, with his wife.[1] Some years later, they visited the World's Fair.[2] In 1920, after realizing that Vandal Savage was on his and his wife's tail, they had their names changed and moved once again. However, Aldus admitted to having heard them talk at night and so they decided to explain the nature of their reincarnation to him.[1] Five years later, they were hunted down by Vandal Savage while the family was staying in a fleabag motel in North Carolina. They had Aldus hide in the closet, and he was forced to watch as both Joe and Edith were murdered.[2]
Legacy[]
The death of Joe and his wife, spurred their son Aldus to study all he could about Savage. This information then ended up in the hands of the Legends who used it to eliminate Savage.
Powers and abilities[]
Powers[]
- Reincarnation: the ancient Egyptian knife that killed Joe in his original incarnation as Khufu had an unusual effect on her soul and that of his lover, Chay-Ara. The couple is stuck in a seemingly endless cycle of death and rebirth through the ages. This allowed Joe to deceive death and live through the centuries, succeeding in achieving his goals in the next life. Joe was also able to remember what had happened to him in previous lives.[2]
