John, better known by the alias "Darkstrike", is a former vigilante. After The Crawler killed his girlfriend, John took revenge on the crawler, killing him. John then developed a second personality, becoming the second Crawler.

- Meta-human physiology: From unknown means, John's DNA and cells were altered, enabling him to access his new-found powers. As noted by Barbara Gordon, his set of powers is very similar to that of Huntress' physical attributes.[1]
