A fortress was Kal-El's sanctuary on Earth, which holds information about his dead planet Krypton and allowed him to communicate with the A.I. of his late mother. Inside, the compound houses a display of holograms of items Kal collected over the years from his adventures.

After Kal-El went to Earth-TUD25, the fortress was abandoned and was apparently searched by Ally Allston's cult.

When Superman arrived in the Inverse World, he went to the fortress, briefly asking his Inverse-counterpart's mother; later he found Jonathan-El, who offered him "help" and then they went to the El Farm.[1]
