Kal-El wore a protective suit in his vigilante activities.

History

When operating in the field, Kal-El wore a suit with the symbol of the House of El on it. Following Ally Allston's takeover of the world and Kal's continuous usage of kryptonite to enhance his abilities, the suit became damaged and torn.

The suit would eventually merge with his body due to the experiments Lex Luthor conducted on him.
