Kilgore received images of a ship that belonged to the Russians and suspected that they were a bomber and brought the images to President John F. Kennedy. Kilgore met with the Senate at the White House to discuss what happened and wanted to launch a missile at Cuba before it was too late, and they met Nate Heywood and Kilgore was upset that Nate was convincing Kennedy with American football not to attack Cuba and cause another war.
