Lauren Caruso is an employee of Monovista International and former lover of Peter Gambi.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Lauren Caruso has a complicated history with Peter Gambi. At some point she visited Morocco where she became infatuated with Gambi, but also shot at him. Gambi attempted to recruit Lauren into the ASA, but she rejected him and accepted the CIA's recruitment pitch.[1]
Lauren was devastated when Gambi was pronounced dead, not knowing that he faked his death to escape Lady Eve's assassins.[2]
Rebuilding Freeland[]
After the War for Freeland, Lauren joined Monovista International where they spearheaded rebuilding efforts in Freeland.[2]
Lauren met with Gambi for the first time in years and offered him a position at Monovista monitoring their systems, protocols and assets, which Gambi declined.[2] Lauren offers him the position again but he reiterates he's not in the job, only interested in her.[1]
Lauren is visited by Gambi at Monovista where she entices him with a flexible salary and a chance to be involved in research and development, which Gambi finally accepts.[1] One of her inventions is the Direct Energy Gun.
