"Liberation" is the seventeenth episode of the sixth season of The Flash, and the one-hundred-thirty-first episode overall. It aired on April 28, 2020.

Synopsis

After recent events, Barry takes a closer look at his life with Iris. Eva makes a bold move.^[src]

Plot

The scene opens with Barry, Ralph, and Cisco turning on a gadget that will fill in as the artificial speed power, yet subsequent to looking exceptionally encouraging it comes up short. Cecile attempts to welcome Barry out, however he's saving his speed. Somewhere else, Mirror Iris and Kamilla meet with Eva to go ahead with their arrangement. Cecile appears and attempts to converse with "Iris" about it, yet "Iris" isn't having it. She asks Cecile to feel what she needs and advise her yet "Kamilla" stops that. Cecile returns home and discovers Barry in the house with a huge amount of examination spread all over and he reports that "Iris isn't Iris."

Barry's hypotheses about the phony Iris are wild yet he is onto something. He thinks something occurred at McCulloch. Cecile isn't persuaded. In the Mirror Dimension, Eva prevents Iris from attempting to crush their huge mirror so she can gain from it. Taken off alone, Iris finds a catch that opens a mystery entryway. In reality, Barry sneaks around in Iris' PC and finds the photograph with the bogus Iris.

Mirror Iris, Singh, and Kamilla chip away at the subsequent stage of Eva's arrangement: it includes Bloodwork. At STAR, Barry stands up to Mirror Iris. She says she'll give him who she truly is, however when Barry hits her with the kaleidoscopic gadget nothing occurs. She turns the gadget on him, and he illuminates rather and they lock him in the pipeline. Cecile pieces of information into "reflect forms" and begins to get on the phony Iris' feelings, enlightening her.

In the Mirror Dimension, the genuine Iris finds Eva's "control room" and finds reality with regards to Eva's maneuvers.

Turns out Eva supplanted Barry's kaleidoscopic gadget with one from her Mirror Dimension, along these lines deceiving Cecile and Nash. The Mirror Squad goes to Argus to get Bloodwork to work with them. They need one drop of his blood. Kamilla penances herself to debilitate Bloodwork's regulation unit and he, thus, assaults them. Mirror Iris uncovers that what she truly needs is to be alive and not Eva's manikin. Bloodwork returns himself in his regulation unit, having deserted his blood on Mirror Iris.

Cecile lets Barry out of the pipeline. She trusts him. Barry races home and discovers Mirror Iris conversing with Eva. Mirror Iris tosses the blood on the mirror to work to make a protected entryway for Eva and afterward goes to assault Barry. In the Mirror Dimension, Iris gets under Eva's skin. It allows Barry to arrive at the Mirror Iris. She advises him to go get the genuine Iris and, having challenged Eva, at that point breaks. Eva rises up out of the Mirror Dimension and cautions Barry to avoid her direction.

Barry gets up later and promises to discover Iris while in the Mirror Dimension she vows to discover her direction home.

The title of the episode is a reference to what Eva McCulloch said in "The Exorcism of Nash Wells".
- It is also a reference to her "liberation" from the Mirrorverse.
When Barry mentioned Plastoids, it became unclear if they exist on Earth-Prime or are simply another known Multiverse Refugee.
This episode confirms the fate of Hannibal Bates post-crisis as he is mentioned when Barry is telling Cecile that he thinks "Iris West-Allen" is a shapeshifter.
When Caitlinwakes up, Ralph says "Thank Elsa," a reference to the Disney character who has ice powers, similar to Frost.
Mirror Iris morphs her arms into blades similar looking in appearance to the T-1000 from Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991).
Ramsey tells Mirror Iris: "Run, Iris, Run", which was the name of the 16th episode of season 4.
This marks the return of Sendhil Ramamurthy as Ramsey Rosso since "The Last Temptation of Barry Allen, Pt. 1" and since the end of Season 6A "Blood and Truth".
As mentioned by Cecile, this episode takes place a week after "So Long and Goodnight".
