Lindsay Kang worked at Mercury Labs as an engineer alongside Brie Larvan and Bill Carlisle. When she and Bill discovered that Larvan was developing her project of robotic bees for unauthorized military applications, they reported her to Tina McGee. As a result, Larvan was fired.
Lindsay eventually left Mercury Labs and became an engineering professor for the Applied Physics & Robotics division of Hudson University.
In April 2015, as Lindsay was preparing to return home after work, Larvan's robotic bees attacked her in her car. The bees injected Lindsay with apitoxin, eventually killing her.
