Maine is a state in the region of New England, in the northeastern United States of Earth-1. The other five nearby states in the region of New England include: Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. The Canadian border near Newfoundland lies to the state's northern edge, and the Atlantic Ocean lies to the state's east coast.[1]
History[]
Constantine stated that wherever the Swamp Thing lives, "Maine was a bit too far north" for him.[2] At some point, Maine became a state of the United States. Sometime after this, the state was labeled on a map used by Chas Chandler, including the cities of Augusta, Bangor and Portland (Maine).[3]

After the Legends defeated Mallus, various magical creatures including the Shtriga escaped his realm. The Shtriga attacked children at Camp Ogawa. This event inspired various movies like Swamp Thaaaang and its prequel Swamp Thaaang!!. Later, the Legends stopped the Shtriga from attacking the children, thus erasing the existence of these films.[2]
