Maltus was the homeworld of an advanced civilization of sapient humanoid species known as Maltusians.
History[]
Around 7980 B.C., Mar Novu and his wife, Xneen, worked on Maltus in an attempt to peer into the dawn of time.
Ten thousand years later, when/after the multiverse was destroyed, Supergirl, Ryan Choi and Lex Luthor time traveled to this planet at that point in time in an attempt to prevent Novu from entering the temporal zone and meeting Mobius in the antimatter universe.[1]

Behind the scenes[]
- In the DC comics, Maltus is a planet that inhabits the Maltusians, a race of beings that include the Guardians of the Universe, the Controllers, Krona and the Zamarons. They are most affiliated with the Green Lantern Corps.
- The name Maltus possibly derives from the demographer and political economist Thomas Robert Malthus, who predicated Earth's overpopulation, a struggle that Maltus itself eventually faced in the comics.
- The landscape of the city is very similar to the one of Argo City, using the same 3D model to render it, at least from an outside view.
