Dr. Marcus is a botanist who is a friend of Alex Danvers, an ally of Team Flash, and the ex-boyfriend of Caitlin Snow.

Aiding Team Flash and dating Caitlin Snow[]
Marcus created an algorithm for the D.E.O. alien database that worked at lightspeed, which Alex Danvers shared with Team Flash in 2021 to help in their search for Despero. Caitlin Snow stated that she would give Marcus a call in a week to thank him for his help.[1]
At some point after Team Flash prevented Armageddon, Marcus and Caitlin began dating.[2]
Double date[]
Marcus later went on a date with Caitlin which later turned into a double date with Frost and Mark Blaine.[3] After Caitlin took advice from Mark to heart, she began taking Marcus on a lot of dates; among various activities was going to the opera.[4]
Erased future[]
Marcus at Eobard Thawne and Iris West's engagement ceremony.
In 2031 in the Reverse-Flashpoint timeline, Marcus attended Eobard Thawne and Iris West's engagement ceremony. When Barry Allen arrived from ten years prior, he and everyone else turned to him in surprise.[5] Marcus watched as Team Flash and their allies battled the Reverse-Flash before the latter sped off with Iris.[6]
