Biography[]
At some point, Marcus Antonius was elected Consul of the Roman Republic alongside Julius Caesar.
On March 15, 44 BC, Mark Antony learnt of the Senate's conspiracy to murder their emperor Julius Caesar. He proceeded to the Theatre of Pompey to warn Caesar, but was intercepted by Trebonius, unable to do anything as the Senators mobbed their dictator.[1]

- In real life, Marcus Antonius, commonly known in English as Mark Antony or Anthony, was a Roman politician and general who played a critical role in the transformation of the Roman Republic from an oligarchy into the autocratic Roman Empire. Antony was a supporter of Julius Caesar, and served as one of his generals during the conquest of Gaul and Caesar's Civil War.
