An unnamed man is the husband of an unnamed woman, the father of the late Martin Stein and the grandfather of Lily Stein.
Biography
On March 16, 1950, the man helped his wife deliver his son, Martin Stein, in the back of their car.[1]
The man was a professional gambler, and he eventually taught his son how to gamble as well; Martin, however, opted for a different career path.[2] Though Martin wanted to go to MIT, the man made his son become a rabbi before letting him attend the school.[3]
Legacy
According to Martin Stein, his father never told him that he loved him. Martin decided not to have children because he was afraid that he would become the same kind of parent that his own father had been.[4]
