Masher is a demon and a soul trade information broker residing in Hell. He is an old acquaintance and friend of John Constantine.
Biography[]
Prior to 2019, Masher was sent back to Hell by John Constantine. After some time, he forgave John for his actions. While in Hell, he became a broker in the soul trade, after which he would come to a bar to take breaks.
In 2019, while taking a break at the bar, the demon was surprisingly approached by John, who asked for info regarding Ray Palmer's soul in Neron's vault. Masher revealed to him that one cannot enter his vault without Neron or the Triumvirate of Hell's permission, and that Neron was planning a massive soul collection on Earth.[1]
In January 2020, Masher was possessing a boy named Edgar. When the boy's mother called John, the demon hunter recognized him and they went to get a drink. Since Masher was possessing a child, however, they got kicked out to an alleyway where they discussed Astra Logue's recent activities. John later had enough of Masher's smugness and ultimately sent him back to Hell.[2]
Sometime later, Masher got kidnapped by Astra and tortured.[3]

- Demonic physiology: As a demon, Masher can perform supernatural feats.
- Demonic possession: Like most demons, Masher does not have a physical form on Earth, thus preventing him from navigating the earthly plane in his normal form. He can only do so by possessing another individual's body.[2]
- Wallcrawling: While possessing Edgar, Masher was able to scale the walls of the boy’s room as if he were a spider.

- Businessman/Information broker: As an information broker in the soul trade in Hell, Masher has most likely picked up several skills, leading him to become a well-known businessman in Hell.[1]
