Maxima is the queen of the planet Almerac.
Biography
Superman
Born to the royal family on planet Almerac, she visited Earth to pursue Superman as the only man worthy to be her mate. After his rejection, she went on a rampage forcing him to take her down. She was later locked up in the D.E.O. headquarters.[1]
Myriad
At the D.E.O., the entire compound are now under the influence of the Myriad project, which has also taken over National City. Non used the mind control to order Lucy Lane to release all prisoners except for the White Martian. Maxima was convinced to side with Non as his new partner, making her escape. However, Supergirl arrived to intercept her. Maxima used a kryptonite bullet to slow her down, but Kara was able to destroy the computer terminal, preventing the prisoners from escaping and thus locking Maxima inside the D.E.O.[1]
Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Super strength: Maxima has enhanced strength equal to that of a Kryptonian.[1]
- Invulnerability: Maxima's body is denser than a human's but not nearly as durable as a Kryptonian's.[1]
Abilities
- Expert hand-to-hand combatant: She is an expert in unarmed combat. Combined with her raw physical power, Maxima was able to physically restrain Supergirl.[1]

- Maxima is an alien conqueror and queen on the planet, Amerac. She first appeared in Action Comics #645 (1989) and was created by Roger Stern and George Perez. She has been frequently used as a love interest of Superman.
