I've noticed that, in a lot of plot subheadings, you've blatantly copy-pasted some content. The most obvious evidence comes from random advertisements from whatever website you're taking these from. They erratically appear in the middle of a lot of episode pages. Please read through and edit the plot before adding them. Find better synonyms for certain words and cut out any repetitiveness too. It's annoying having to proof-read and edit them. It's much better that you either watch the episodes at hand and give a scene-by-scene plot with IN-UNIVERSE content rather than plagiarise a sub-par plot that contains ads and out-of-universe content. Please put more effort into them, thanks in advance.
Ah, I understand. Your newer edits are a lot better but maybe go back to some of your older ones and remove any ads if possible. I can tell you're trying to experiment with some new words to make the plot sound a bit more professional but don't reuse the same word too much. Some words, despite being generally the same, don't work in certain contexts so they can make the plot sound confusing. That aside, I'm glad someone's at least doing something to contribute to the episode plots. In addition, the structure can make it sound like it's from a TVLine type of summary. Write as if you're the character in question too in order to limit the out-of-universe content you're using. These tips should help a lot in the long run. :)
K, and also, I was wondering if you could dleete this thread. I understand my mistake and will not make it again in the future. But looking back on this someday will be emmbarrasing and cring to me, you know?
Hey dude, first off, I want to apologize for the plagiarism. Although I did not know it violated community guidelines, it did. It was rude of me to think only of myself and put you though that hassle. Second, I was wondering if I re-word most the summaries, if it would be acceptable. Like I could send my edit vs. the original if you want.
If they're reworded so that they're nothing like the original, then sure, that's fine to publish. If you'd like tips, you're welcome to shoot any of us admins a message, we're always happy to help improve. :)
Ok, so here's the original: Eventually, Team Arrow suits up to take on Emiko, Dante, and the Ninth Circle at another break-in. Dante and the other hired guns are able to escape, leaving Emiko behind. Then, Emiko reveals she's undercover with Dante and his crew, trying to take them down from the inside as she's uncovered their plan of stealing uranium from different manufacturers around the city.
And heres's mine: In the end, Team Arrow gets ready to take on Emiko, Dante, and the Ninth Circle at another break-in. Dante and the other employed henchmen evade, deserting Emiko. At that point, Emiko uncovers she's covert with Dante and his group, attempting to bring them down from within as she's revealed their arrangement of taking uranium from various makers around the city.
While that is technically fine, it very much reads like you're just using a thesaurus; if you want to summarise a plot, I'd highly recommend watching and doing it as you go, rather than just pretty explicitly rewording existing takes on the episodes, especially as they will usually focus on specific parts of episodes, not its entirety.
Yeah, from what I learned, it's to read it and summarize what you can from memory in your own words. Did make it a bit wordy though lol. What would you think if I went back to the articles I plagiarized and did them right? I mean I could do a couple tomorrow and you could check them. Honestly don't watch Arrow, but I could do Flash, Legends, Supergirl, Batwoman, etc.
I mean you can still summarise stuff without making it wordy and without plagiarising already-existing content, it's just a matter of cutting it down and focusing on what's important. Feel free to do that and run them by me if you like. :)
I will be working on these over the course of the week. Again, I feel bad about what happened a while back. I did not mean to damage the wiki or its reputation, or give you extra work. I hope you accept my sincerest apology.
Hey dude, just finished a bunch if you want to check them out. None are plagiarized and I would appreciate some proofreading. I also want to thank you for this opportunity and apologize once more for any troubles that I may have causes in the past. If you need anything bro, please let me know.
