Dr. Milton Fine is a hacker working for Lex Luthor.
Biography[]
Aiding Lex Luthor[]
- "Milton assured me it would work."
"He did good."
"How about we keep that between us? Last thing that brainiac needs is this going to his head."" - —Lex Luthor and Amanda McCoy[src]

Lex using Milton's box to contain Superman's heart.
At Lex Luthor's behest, Milton built a special box to contain Superman's heart after Doomsday killed him.[1] Later, Milton managed to find Luthor's daughter Elizabeth using facial recognition.[2]
Per Luthor's orders, Milton later sent his team to install eight red solar flares on the street lamps of Smallville near the Pomono Hotel, allowing Lex to weaken Superman and have a fair fight with the hero for whenever he came to confront him. At Lex behest, Milton also used his B13 virus to destroy Mayor Lana Lang's security system, allowing Otis Grisham to invade her house and try to kill her.[3]
Controlling Steel's suit[]

Faking a car accident on County Road Q to attract the attention of Steel and Starlight, Milton got a scan of their exosuits. Later that night, during a live debate conducted by Gordon Godfrey between Luthor and Lois Lane made to discredit her, Milton hacked the exosuits and John's computer systems. While he sent Nat's suit after Jonathan and Jordan Kent, Milton forced John inside the suit and made him go after Superman so that Clark could leave Luthor's property in the middle of the debate, damaging Lois's image.
Nat's suit was burned by the Kent twins while Milton quickly realized that the suit in its current state could not kill Superman, leaving John Henry to fall out of the sky and be rescued by Superman while the suit went back to his headquarters so he could upgrade it.[4]
Luthor's endgame[]
Milton then upgrades Lex's exosuit using Green Kryptonite. When Amanda McCoy returns to the hideout looking for Luthor, Milton tells her that Lex has returned to Smallville.[5] During Lex's fight with Superman in Smallville, Milton jams Lois Lane's transmission signal so that she cannot broadcast the event on TV. Fine was pleased to see Superman defeated, but the hideout is invaded by John Irons and a DOD unit. Irons then intimidates him into deactivating the jamming signal before arresting him.[6]

- Genius-level intellect/Master engineer: Milton is an extremely intelligent individual, being able to create different items that Luthor asks him to install or build in a very short time, like a special box to contain Superman's heart and a series of red solar flares to weaken the Kryptonian.[1][3] He also successfully found Lex's daughter Elizabeth with facial recognition.[2]

- A version of Vril Dox from Earth-38 appeared in the Adventures of Supergirl comics, while another versions of Brainiac were mentioned in the Supergirl episode "Battles Lost and Won" and in the EARTH-PRIME comics.
- The B-13 code used by Milton is a reference to Brainiac 13, a descendant of Brainiac.
- The showrunner Todd Helbing revealed in an interview for TVLine that he would have liked to explore Brainiac and Darkseid in future seasons of Superman & Lois before the show ended; If we went on for a couple more seasons, we would have really explored Brainiac. We would have done more cool, traditional Brainiac stuff with him.[7]
