Nommo is a shaman and the owner of Nommo's African Cuisine. He is also a friend of John Constantine.
Biography[]
Original multiverse[]
After the hunger demon Mnemoth began a rampage, John Constantine contacted Nommo to find a way to defeat it. They used the strong psychedelic drug The Mist to trace its origins, before Nommo gave Constantine and himself the Nectar of Nhialic to counteract the trip.[1]
Anti-Monitor Crisis[]
During the Anti-Monitor Crisis, Nommo as well as everyone in the multiverse except for the seven Paragons, was killed in an antimatter wave by the Anti-Monitor on December 10, 2019,[2] only to be restored a month later, after the Paragons and the Spectre created a new universe.[3]

- In the comics, Nommo is also known as Doctor Mist. In the New 52, his full name is established as Nommo Balewa.
- Nommo fulfilled the role Papa Midnite originally did in Hellblazer #1, being the one John Constantine contacted for help in stopping Mnemoth.
