- "I don't know where the next Olympics are at, but you might wanna think about signing yourself up."
- —John Diggle to Oliver Queen[src]
The Olympics are a recurring set of sporting events that took place on the Earth of Earth-1, with one known such event having taken place in Beijing in 2008.[1] and the next one in London in 2012.
History[]
- "I was--am an Olympic athlete."
- —Curtis Holt[src]
Michael Phelps competed in the Olympics, winning at least one medal.[2]
In 2008, Curtis Holt competed in the Olympics in Beijing and won a bronze medal in the decathlon, an athletic event taking place over two days, in which each competitor takes part in the same prescribed ten events (100-meter dash, long jump, shot put, high jump, 400-meter dash, 110-meter hurdles, discus, pole vault, javelin, and 1,500-meter run).[3] The creature known as Baba Yaga also appeared.[4]
In late 2012, John Diggle suggested that Oliver Queen compete in the Olympics, due to his athletic fitness.[5] That year/a few months before then, the Olympics were held in London.
