Owen Post (June 14, 1998–early 2017)[1] was a student of Star City High School and the son of the late Cayden James and an unnamed woman.
Biography[]
Missing and death[]
In early 2017, Owen was practicing basketball with his teammates when he saw his father, Cayden James arrive. Owen grew annoyed with Cayden for only focusing on his work, so his father promised him that he would come to see his match. On the day of the match, his father watched the match outside the arena, but Owen did not notice as Cayden was taken away by A.R.G.U.S. agents. Following his father's arrest by A.R.G.U.S., Owen went missing. After Cayden was freed from A.R.G.U.S., he received fake intel which said that Owen had been killed due to Green Arrow missing his intended target and accidentally shooting Owen. The true killer was later discovered by Team Arrow to be Karl Iscove, who was hired to do so by Ricardo Diaz.[1][2][3][4]
Legacy[]
Following his death, Cayden developed a new-found hate for Green Arrow, wishing to undermine his entire work as a vigilante.
Team Arrow recovered the footage of Owen's death only to verify that it was doctored, and they later realize that whoever doctored the footage was also the one who leaked the photo of Oliver Queen being Green Arrow.[1]
After his death, Owen's killer Ricardo Diaz was finally brought to justice when the new Green Arrow and John Diggle took him down during Diaz's attempt to use a bomb to destroy all of Star City and Owen's death was avenged when the former killed Diaz.
