An unnamed alien parasite, nicknamed Parasitus alienus by Winn Schott, was an alien part of the super villain Parasite from the Angon system, which was formed by it possessing a human scientist, Rudy Jones. A portion of it was used almost two years later by the Children of Liberty to possess Raymond Jensen and form the second Parasite.
Biography[]
Original multiverse[]
At some point in time (theorized by Winn Schott to be the Ice Age), the alien parasite from Angon system ended up on Earth, in Norway. Around 3000 BC, the parasite possessed a wolf killed by a stone spearhead and used its body to survive.
In November 2016, the wolf's body was uncovered by the Thorul Arctic Research Station in Svalbard. The parasite was freed during the autopsy of the wolf and possessed scientist Rudy Jones by crawling into his head. It then proceeded to kill everyone else on the station. Afterward, Jones was rescued by the D.E.O. and taken back to National City, where the parasite began to take over Jones' mind, influencing him to target and kill anti-global warming politicians. When Supergirl and Martian Manhunter tried to stop him, the parasite drained the superheroes' powers, leaving them in critical condition. With the new energy, Jones transformed into a large, monstrous purple alien-human hybrid. The parasite then began terrorizing the people of National City, seeking to find more hosts to feed off of. With help from Mon-El and Guardian, Supergirl defeated the parasite by using Plutonium-239 from a nuclear power plant.[1] Jones' body was destroyed while the parasite reverted to its original form. It was imprisoned at the D.E.O. National City headquarters in a frozen prison.[2]
Several months later around Valentine's Day, the parasite was temporarily reanimated via Mxyzptlk's reality warping.[3]
Two years later in late 2018, Mercy and Otis Graves stole a portion of the parasite from its D.E.O. prison with help from two corrupted agents, Raymond Jensen and Taylor. Agent Liberty used it to remotely take control of Fiona Byrne, which forced her to use her psychic powers to possess an unnamed Kopy and Hellgrammite into wreaking havoc on National City. After this failed, Jensen took the parasite back to Agent Liberty, freeing the aliens from its control (although the psychic strain ended up killing Fiona). After Mercy and Otis' deaths, Agent Liberty had the parasite possess Jensen.[2]
Anti-Monitor Crisis[]
During the Anti-Monitor Crisis, the Parasite as well as everyone in the multiverse except for the seven Paragons, was killed in an antimatter wave by the Anti-Monitor on December 10, 2019,[4] only to be restored a month later, after the Paragons and the Spectre created a new universe.[5]

Lex Luthor used video footage of Parasite to make a commercial for Luthor Corp.[6]
The Angon alien parasite was briefly resurrected within Rudy Jones by Lex Luthor using the power of the AllStone Totems. Luthor made Parasite his ally in a fight against the Superfriends. Parasite fought Alex Danvers until it was defeated and its body exploded, killing it once again.[7]

- Alien physiology: As an alien parasite, the parasite possesses several powers.
- Longevity: When possessing a dead wolf, the parasite was able to keep the animal's body warm for over 5,000 years.
- Possession: Crawling physically into a living host, the parasite was able to fully take control of the host's body, even physically reshaping it for its survival. Agent Liberty was also able to use it to remotely control an empath, which forced possession of multiple individuals at the same time.
- Energy/Power absorption: The alien parasite was able to absorb the life energy of other beings, leaving withered corpses behind. After contact with Supergirl, parasite gained her [Kryptonian]] physical abilities and later, the physical abilities of the Martian Manhunter, which mutated him into a monster. Unlike humans, Supergirl and Martian Manhunter were able to survive his absorption of their powers, though were left in a weakened state for a long time. Martian Manhunter was unable to recover on his own and needed a blood transfusion from M'gann M'orzz.

- Plutonium-239: The parasite's powers were overwhelmed by plutonium-239, causing it to disintegrate the host and revert to its original form.[1]
- Extreme cold: The parasite can be contained in extremely cold temperatures, as seen with the frozen wolf[1] and its D.E.O. prison.[2]

Behind the scenes[]
- In the DC comics, Angon is an alien parasite villain and one of the Bloodlines Parasites, a race of highly advanced and ferocious dragon-like beasts that came to Earth during the events of "Bloodlines". Although Angon had no relation to Rudy Jones in the comics, here it was the catalyst of his mutation, which is also a part of the character as Bloodlines parasites were responsible for mutating several humans into super-powered beings known as New Bloods.
- In addition, while in the original comics Angon is the character's name; here it is a name of his home planetary system.
- The alien parasite's physical appearance and method of entry are based on Mister Mind, an evil telepathic space-worm from the planet Venus who is an enemy of Captain Marvel.
