Plot[]
In the year 2123, a mysterious cloaked thief sneaks into the Flash Museum only to be caught by security. The thief quickly steals a staff and escapes through a portal as the staff's exhibit is due to open in April 5, 2023.
In the present, Barry is setting up a crib for Nora and shows it to Iris, who is still having pregnancy cravings. They recieve word that safety inspectors are coming to S.T.A.R. Labs. Khione isn't comfortable having to meet Caitlin's mom since she's not her daughter, but Barry assures her it'll be fine. When the inspectors arrive, Barry and Iris show them the Speed lab only to find that they are going through an endless circle where they keep coming back to the same lab. For further confusion, the lab suddenly has a grandfather clock that wasn't there before. Barry tries to escape through time travel, but isn't able to.
Meanwhile, Allegra and Chester are playing dominoes when Chester blurts out that he loves Allegra. Allegra is taken aback by this and tries to avoid the subject when Cecile comes in. Back at S.T.A.R. Labs, the inspectors start to suspect that something unusual is happening as they keep coming back to the same room. Once Barry and Iris realize a time thief has trapped them all, Barry is forced to reveal his secret identity as the Flash to the inspectors. When one of the inspectors gets turned into a statue, everyone is horrified as they realize the thief is in the room with them.
Meanwhile, Allegra confides in Cecile how she panicked when Chester said, "I love you". Cecile wonders what's wrong, and Allegra admits she's afraid of losing Chester the same way she lost Nash and Esperanza. Cecile then assures Allegra that nothing will happen to Chester and she needs to learn how to open up again.
Back at S.T.A.R. Labs, Barry and Iris are still dwelling being trapped in the same room forever when Barry figures out that Tao, one of the inspectors, is the time thief since she didn't know what a break box is. When they confront her, "Tao" turns the rest of the inspectors into statues before revealing herself as Lady Chronos. She explains that she stole the staff (called the "Time magnet") in the year 2123, but tripped on security lasers and found out the Flash Museum was scheduled to open on April 5, 2023. So she used her time-belt to travel back in time and pose as an inspector, but the time magnet malfunctioned trapping them in the room. She can't take it back to 2123 because her time belt was fried, so Barry charges it with his speed. Before going back to 2123, Lady Chronos assures the couple she won't betray them because she'll be the first to die if she doesn't return the time magnet. She then returns it and everything is undone, with the inspectors no longer statues and having no memory of being trapped or Barry being the Flash.
Later that night, Allegra meets Chester at CC Jitters and apologizes for the way she acted earlier before finally confessing she loves him too. Back at S.T.A.R. Labs, Khione tells Barry that Carla only wanted to get to know her as a friend since she wouldn't accept her as a daughter after losing both Caitlin and Frost. Barry and Iris are last seen eating ice cream at home after everything.

Trivia[]
- The episode title is a play on the quote/British mini-series "Partners in Crime".
- This is the first episode of the series to not feature Jon Cor (Mark Blaine) since his first appearance as a series regular in "Hear No Evil". However, he was mentioned by Barry.
- The board games Scrabble and Settlers of Catan appear in this episode.
- Iris mentions being trapped in the time loop with Barry and alternate dreams with Nia. These events occurred in "Wednesday Ever After" and "Wildest Dreams", respectively.
- Just like the previous episodes, this episode references previous seasons:
- The clothes that the inspectors, Barry and Iris were changed into is similar to what happened in the Season 7 episode "The One With The Nineties" where Joe, Frost, Caitlin and Iris were wearing clothes that were popular in different points in time which was caused by Deon Owens' powers.
- The inspectors doing a mold inspection is very similar to when the CCDBS did a radiation inspection when they noticed a radiation leak in S.T.A.R. Labs which was caused by Eobard Thawne in which it prompts the inspectors to shut down S.T.A.R. Labs which took place in the Season 8 crossover episode "Armageddon, Part 2".
- The scene where everything returned back to normal in a flash of light due to time travel is very similar to what happened in Armageddon, Part 4 when Barry travel back to the present to change the timeline in which a flash of light removed all of his friends that were being tortured by Despero, albeit at the same place which is at the Speed lab.
- When Barry laments everything that happened at S.T.A.R. Labs which shows flashbacks of previous episodes from previous seasons:
- Marlize DeVoe fighting Iris which took place in the Season 4 episode "Lose Yourself".
- Ramsey Rosso/Bloodwork leading an army of Blood Brothers in the Season 6 episode "The Last Temptation of Barry Allen, Pt. 2".
- An army of Godspeeds invading S.T.A.R. Labs in the Season 7 episode "Enemy At the Gates".
- A zombified Mitch Romero that was created by Ramsey Rosso/Bloodwork exploded right in front of Barry and Frost in the Season 6 episode "Dead Man Running".
- The time displaced clothes Barry wore resembles the Star Trek uniform.
- This episode resolves something from Season 1. The renewal of permits to allow S.T.A.R. Labs to stay open, which is now a decade past due.
- Lady Chronos is somewhat an incompetent thief, similar to Star-Lord in the first Guardians of the Galaxy film; sure, she gets the prize she's after, but it sets off a chain of events that endangered her life and others around her.
- Carla Tannhauser finally meets Khione; instead of accepting her in place of her daughters Frost and Caitlin, she instead becomes a role model and mentor. The fact she was unwilling to see Khione as family shows Carla is in her own depression.
- Both flashbacks of Ramsey Rosso and Mitch Romero is foreshadowing both of their appearances in the next episode, titled "It's My Party and I'll Die If I Want To".
Goofs[]
- This episode took place on April 5, 2023, which is the same day this episode aired. However, a previous episode "The Good, the Bad, and the Lucky" took place on Jenna West's birthday, which was on May 22, 2023.
- It is impossible for this episode to take place before that episode chronologically, since Barry mentions Mark having left Central City in this episode, but he worked with Khione to test her abilities in "The Good, the Bad, and the Lucky"
- Even if it was 100 years later, the Flash Museum should still have had a recent inspection. Regardless if it's a monument to a hero, there are still things in the former S.T.A.R. labs that need to be checked on. Then again, Lady Chronos stated that the 2023 date was the last inspection "before becoming a museum." Theoretically, the museum just kept the old certificate as part of the display.
- Back in Season 3, H.R. Wells attempted to open a S.T.A.R. Labs Museum, one which people did end up attending. Considering the particle accelerator explosion had occurred, one would assume S.T.A.R. Labs would need to undergo various safety checks/tests in order for the public to attend it. But apparently, the Museum could open without inspection.
- That part was never mentioned in that episode since it wasn't a vital plot, So it's likely they happened off scene and were never mentioned .
