A Phantom Zone projector is a device that is used to banish individuals into the Phantom Zone.

History

At some point in time, the Phantom Zone projector was stored in the Fortress of Solitude.

When battling the Superfriends, Lex Luthor used the projector to send Supergirl to the Phantom Zone.

Later, the projector was fitted onto the Tower so that it could transport the ship to the Phantom Zone. When the Superfriends were going to the Phantom Zone to rescue Kara, Lena Luthor activated the projector, which the Tower used to cross into the Phantom Zone. After the mission was finished, the projector was activated again so that the team could return to Earth.
