Phobos is the son of H'ronmeer and the brother of Deimos. He was the first owner of the Staff of Kolar and the first White Martian in existence.
Biography[]
At some point, at the dawn of the Martians, Phobos and Deimos received two items from H'ronmeer; The Book of Sacred Scrolls and the Staff of Kolar. The symbols could be shared, but the staff could not. Deimos chose the Symbols, but Phobos chose the staff. Phobos was the first White Martian.[1]

After Phobos and Deimos's rivalry led to a great deal of bloodshed on Mars, a curse, Fa'ra'too'rik, was placed upon Green Martians, that would cause any brothers that fought to be inflicted with a great deal of mental agony.[2]

- In the comics, Phobos is a member of the Olympians, a extra-dimensional race of deities from Ancient Greece.
- In Greek mythology, Phobos is the personification of fear. He was a son of Ares and Aphrodite, and the twin brother of Deimos.
- Phobos is also the name of the innermost and larger of the two natural satellites of Mars, the other being Deimos. They are named for Phobos and Deimos from Greek mythology.
