The photon rifle is an infrared rifle created by McCulloch Technologies and used by Kimiyo Hoshi as Dr. Light.

Creation[]
McCulloch Technologies was developing the infrared photon rifle for years. One of the people who worked on this rifle was Gene Huskk.[1]
Stolen and used by Dr. Light[]
At some point in time, "Malcolm Strombard", a member of Black Hole, was sent to McCulloch Technologies in order to steal the Photon blaster for Kimiyo Hoshi.[1]
After that, Kimiyo started using the rifle to assassinate people for Black Hole. When someone leaked information about Black Hole, she was ordered to kill multiple people by Joseph Carver. She assassinated Riggs Wellington and was then sent her next target, Iris West-Allen. Kimiyo used the rifle to shoot at Team Citizen but missed as everyone got away.[1]
She later used it to attack Iris again, who was meeting with her informant, Gene Huskk, leading to his death as Iris got away in his car. Later that evening, Kimiyo shot Frost, who was able to use her powers to remove the light-based bullet.[1]
Later, Kimiyo used the rifle on a mirror, from which Eva McCulloch had appeared to her. She then joined Eva's team and used the rifle to fight against Team Flash and McCulloch's guards.[2]
