Quiz Bowl is a cancelled television show formerly hosted by Arthur Brown.
History[]
Before Arthur Brown became the villainous Cluemaster, he hosted Quiz Bowl; a televsion show that aired in the Gotham area and was created to be a trivia-based game show.
At some point, Arthur became frustrated with the show's questions, believing them to have been dumbed-down to make them easier for the contestants to solve. This led him to become Cluemaster, a villain who left clues to the crimes he commited believing nobody to be smart enough to solve them.
When Arthur was captured by Sophie Moore thanks to the assistance of Stephanie Brown. Quiz Bowl was cancelled by its showrunners and the show's set was abandoned.
When Arthur escaped Arkham Asylum five years after his initial incarceration, he rigged the abandoned set of Quiz Bowl with bombs connected to a timer which was triggered by a pressure plate. Despite leaving a trail intended for Sophie alone to follow, instead Arthur's trap caught Ryan Wilder and Mary Hamilton, who were aiding Sophie in her quest and were then subsequentially offered a series of questions to solve in order to increase the time remaining on the timer. However, getting even one question wrong would cause the bombs to go off instantaniously.
After Sophie retrieved a piece of Bat-Tech to save Ryan and Mary, the latter two grappled away, leaving the set behind them to explode.[1]
