Rose Lawson is a member of the board of Garfield High School.

Biography

After Bernard Lewis was found on drugs in school, Lawson sat down with Principal Pierce and Vice Principal Fowdy, explaining their options. She elaborated on how the board wished to have the final say with cases such as Bernard's.

Three months after the attack on Garfield, Rose Lawson and the board met with Principal Pierce to discuss the situation and the fact that he was not on school grounds on the day in question. Although Jefferson tried to explain that he was on a family vacation, the board did not accept his reasoning. The board's decision was to keep the school closed until disciplinary procedures could be brought against Jefferson, and counselling for the students.
