(That first bit is kinda opinion, and we don't as of yet know if the cult looking dudes are for Savitar or Alchemy based on what we have seen in the episodes.)

"Who are you?"
"Savitar, the god of speed."
—Savitar to the The Flash[src]

Savitar is an armor-wearing speedster, affiliated with Dr. Alchemy, dubbing himself the "god of speed".

Biography

Savitar attacking Edward Clariss

Savitar attacks Edward Clariss in prison.

After the Rival failed, Alchemy scolded him and then Savitar entered his cell at Iron Heights in the meta-human wing and attacked him.[1] He was able to enter despite the cell being a meta-human power dampener and use his powers fully. Upon investigation, Barry, Joe and Julian discovered that Savitar killed the Rival the night he was incarcerated using his powers.[2]

After Team Flash and CCPD thought they had immobilized Alchemy, an earthquake erupted. Savitar blipped around everywhere, killing all of the cops and freeing Alchemy's followers. Savitar was chased by the Flash, but bested him. After Wally West was trapped in a cocoon-like figure, Savitar pinned a distracted Flash to a wall. After the Flash asked who he was, Savitar introduced himself as the "god of speed".[3]

Powers and abilities

Powers

  • Superhuman speed: Though unknown if he derives his powers from the Speed Force, Savitar is unfathomably fast, so much so that he's totally invisible to the human eye while running. His speed allowed him to blip around Alchemy's lair and instantly kill multiple cops. Only Barry was able to see anything, yet even Barry could only see Savitar's lightning. An injured Barry was unable to match the armored foe's speed, barely keeping up before quickly being outpaced and pinned down by Savitar.[3] He was also able to get into Edward Clariss's prison cell, despite his cell containing a meta-human power dampener, and to fully use his powers once inside.[2]
  • Superhuman strength: Savitar possesses a level of increased strength, able to lift a full-grown man off the ground and pin them to the wall with a single hand.[1][3]
  • Superhuman stamina: Savitar's body can handle the stresses of superhuman racing without noticeable distress.[3]
  • Superhuman agility: Savitar possesses inhuman bodily coordination, balance, equilibrium, and dexterity. He is able to change direction immediately, thus allows him to make sharp turns and easily manuever while moving at immense speed.[3]
  • Invisibility: When holding The Flash up to a roof, Joe West did not see him. Though it is unknown if this is due to his speed, armor, or another factor

Equipment

  • Armor: Savitar wears some form of armor, though it's unknown if it is something he's actually wearing or if he is made out of it. The armor is also able to produce a blade from it's left gauntlet.[3]

Trivia

  • Since Savitar was able to use his powers inside Edward Clariss' cell while killing him, it shows that he is one of the villains that Barry cannot contain so easily.
