Season 1234

Black Lightning was renewed for a fourth and final season by The CW on January 7, 2020.[1][2] On May 14, 2020, The CW announced that the season wouldn't premiere until January 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[3] On October 29, 2020, it was announced that the season would premiere on February 8, 2021.[4] On November 20, 2020, it was announced that this would be the final season.[2]

  • Despite being credited until "The Book of Ruin: Chapter One", China Anne McClain was originally going to depart after this season had the series been renewed for Season 5.[citation needed]
