The fourth season of Supergirl​​​​​ premiered on October 14, 2018 on The CW and concluded on May 10, 2019. The season consisted of 22 episodes.

  • This season aired on Sundays at 8/7c, as opposed to the past three seasons that aired on Mondays at 8/7c.
  • This is the final season with more than 20 episodes since the COVID-19 pandemic halted Season 5's filming with only 19 episodes, while the sixth and final season only consisted of 20 episodes.
  • Manchester Black was originally going to be the main antagonist of this season.[1]
  • This is the first and only season without Jeremy Jordan (Winn Schott) being featured in any shape.
    • Jeremy Jordan was supposed to appear as a recurring role this season, but was unable to.[2] He does appear as a special guest star in seasons 5 and 6.
  • Season 4 marks Jesse Rath and Nicole Maines' first in addition to being the only season for Sam Witwer and April Parker Jones whose credited from "Ahimsa" onwards. It is also the first season to be fully run by Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner.
