The sonic device was a non-lethal weapon used by Sara Lance and later Laurel Lance, which produced concentrated sonic waves, imitating a sonic scream.
History[]
Laurel presents one to Cisco Ramon, hoping to upgrade it.
As the Canary, Sara Lance used this device to incapacitate her enemies, allowing her to defeat or swiftly escape from them.[1]
After Sara's death, her sister Laurel Lance began using the sonic device as the Black Canary.[2] However, Laurel later had Cisco Ramon upgrade the sonic device into a more powerful, collared version, which he dubbed the "Canary Cry".[3]
Erased future[]
Around 2040, the Canaries group began using them. Zoe Ramirez uses this weapon as an improvised explosive device for the purpose of distraction or escape.[4]
