The Staff of the Shadow World was a weapon used by Rama Khan. When the planets became aligned, the staff combined with the power of the Medallion of Acrata could be used to cause an extinction level event.
History[]
Rama Khan used the power of the staff to enhance his earth bending ability to cause several of history’s worst natural disasters including the destruction of Pompeii, the Yellow River flood, the Bhola Cyclone, and Noah's flood.[1]
Gamemnae convinced Rama Khan that his position as a guardian of Earth was in danger and gave him the staff so that he could cause an event which would cement his position. Rama Khan went on to acquire Andrea Rojas and planned to use the power of the upcoming planetary alignment to detonate a dormant supervolcano under the tar pits of National City. Supergirl and J'onn J'onzz were able to hold off Rama Khan until Rojas was able to break free and use the staff to attack him. After the two were transported back to Leviathan's headquarters, Gamemnae grabbed the staff from Rama Khan before he could strike Rojas. Gamemnae then went on to inform Rama Khan that the Jarhanpurian elder removed him from power, and then confiscated the staff from him.[1]
