The Supermen of America, sometimes referred to simply as the S.O.A.,[1] were a group of super-powered individuals trained to help the United States Army.
History[]
The Supermen of America were formed after Superman refused to put America first. Mitch Anderson recruited various super powered individuals, such as Tag Harris and Jessie Vance.
When earthquakes hit Smallville, Anderson sent Supermen of America to help the citizens on Shuster Mines, and they found Superman. Then they returned to the DOD on Anderson's orders.[2] They also assisted in taking down Phillip Karnowsky when Superman couldn't.[3]
Later, they went to Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia to try to stop Superman's Inverse World counterpart, but two of them were killed and Tag injured. The real Superman appeared and saved him, giving Tag time to run away and get the pendant of Superman's counterpart.[4] After the encounter, Tag was hospitalized.[5]

A funeral was held by the army to honor the two deceased members of the Supermen of America.[1]
