Is he really dead?
We know he was shot with an arrow, however it was in the lens of the scope, which seemed rather thick, and possibly saved his life. It's possible that it just went through his eye and blinded him.
Knowing that this show, while more realistic, is based on a comic book, Deadshot is a character that "came back from the dead" frequently. It's possible he might get a prosthetic/cybernetic eye, as that technology isn't too far off.
My basic question/statement is: Is there confirmation Deadshot is deceased/He's not coming back?
Smallville vs Arrow[]
Its interesting to me that two different shows have different take on the same character. And the Arrow version of Deadshot, his name is known. in Smallville, his name is not known, and only known by his handle of Deadshot ... SilverAero (talk) 00:08, June 25, 2013 (UTC)

If only one building blew up wouldn't "unknown" be better since Lawton could have been on top of any one of them?Cloudtheavenger (talk) 20:43, March 27, 2015 (UTC)
- Actually I put deceased because on the news report, it stated that Lawton died in the explosion. Though I have a theory of my own on his survival but because it was stated he died, it stays that way for now.TIMESHADE |Talk/Wall| - |C| 21:31, March 27, 2015 (UTC)
- It was apparently confirmed that he is dead because of a rights conflict with the upcoming movie. http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/yonny616/news/?a=117366 However, Guggenheim just says "off the table", but what's the point of him being alive if his rights are continually denied them?
I believe he's not really dead
I think Floyd Lawton may be of further use to H.I.V.E and Damien Dahrk may use hid own waters from the Pit to bring him back. That or the explosion just transforms him to appear more like his comic counterpart

'Nuff said. Though it was an ambiguous death, no matter what he's not coming back. As this article implied this is likely due to the Suicide Squad movie.
