- Just because it is not the season premiere, does not make it not part of Season 5. It was produced as 5x08 and it was announced months ago that Season 5 will have 16 episodes, not 15. If anything, there should be a source that says it is not part of Season 5. Do you have one? - I read multiple interviews with Phil Klemmer and none of them mentioned that the Crisis on Infinite Earths episode was not a part of this season. Unless you can provide a source, that information is your assumption. In fact, this tweet from Keto Shimizu reveals that the Crisis episode was shot as the 8th episode and this one reveals that the events in the Crisis episode occur before "Meet the Legends". Therefore, the Crisis episode is a part of this season and is technically the season premiere, even though it is not considered the season premiere. The Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.
