In "The Promise", he is assisting Ivo in taking an eye from Anatoly Knyazev until they get distracted by a fire Oliver lights on the beach of Lian Yu. Ivo then sends him to capture Oliver, which he then does. Afterwards, he is seen with Ivo interrogating Oliver with a truth serum. After Oliver falsely reveals that Slade and Sara are in the engine room on the freighter, Ivo orders him to get all his men and search the engine room to find them. He is seen afterwards once the fight is over and orders Slade to get into a prison cell. He shoots Slade, which has no effect, due to Slade prior being injected with the mirakuru. Slade then kills him by crushing his head with his hands.
